The total annual mortgage payment including principal and interest paid to the lender. Principal is the original sum lent and the interest is the charge for the privilege of borrowing the principal amount. For example, a 24-month $11,505,500 loan with 5.28% interest amortized over 30 years results in a debt service of $60,977 per month.
